TPAC Entrance Information - PLEASE READ
Due to circumstances beyond TPAC's control, the typical stage
door entrance to Tennessee Performing Arts Center on
Union Avenue will be closed during dance show season this
year.
The alternative stage door entrance to be used by all dancers
will be on 5th avenue between the loading dock to your left
and the entrance to the Tennessee State Museum to your
right. Please note that 5th avenue is a one way street heading
north. Please adjust your driving/drop-off patterns
accordingly, and be sure to observe all traffic laws. There are
a good number of stairs leading down from the street to the
glass doors of this entrance. Specific needs for our disabled
patrons will be made on a case by case basis.
There will be plenty of signs inside the building once you
have used the temporary stage door entrance. These signs will
lead you and your dancers to the dressing room area of your
respective hall. The enclosed map will help to display these
instructions as they pertain to your event.
We’re terribly sorry for this change, and we thank you in
advance for your cooperation.
We will have maps and printouts at the studio for you to take. Thanks!

“UnMask The Night”
1. Saturday, May 14th – Run Through Rehearsal
• Where: Nolensville Elementary Gymnasium (New school)
• Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (don’t be late)
• Attire: Black dance attire. Hair back into bun or ponytail
• Bring your shoes for your dances
• Water bottles only. No food please.
2. Friday, May 27th – Non-Dress and Dress Rehearsals
• Where: Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Jackson Theatre
• Time: 1:00 pm be there – Non-Dress Rehearsals begins at
• 2:00 pm. We should wrap up around 9:30 pm.
• Attire: Black dance attire for first rehearsal. Please have your hair and makeup done ready for your first dress rehearsal dance. This will save you time later.
• We will be stopping and starting during the non-dress rehearsal if needed. This is a very informal rehearsal.
• Bring all your costumes and accessories. Our second rehearsal will be your dress rehearsal in full costume. This will begin at 6:00 pm
• We will present awards at 5:00 pm after we complete our non-dress rehearsal.
• Dinner break will be between 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm. Please use this time to get ready for your first dance, eat and get refreshed. Bring your coolers with plenty of food, water and sprites. Please try not to bring cokes or any colored drinks that may get spilled on costumes.
• Bring a blanket to spread out. Pack as if you were going to a picnic!
• This will be a fun day to share with your child. Bring your camera. You are welcome to video the non-dress and dress rehearsals.
• Dress Rehearsal will begin at 6:00 pm. We will try not to stop the show if at all possible at this point.
• Please be in your dressing room and ready to perform 5 (five) numbers before your dance. Attached is the order of the dances. Please be aware of when you dance. A Legacy employee will be assigned to each class to escort to and from the stage. Parents, please pick your children up in the dressing room after each of their dances and change them for their next dance.
• Students are allowed to sit in the audience if they have time between dances. PLEASE WEAR A COVER UP OVER YOUR COSTUMES AT ALL TIMES IF YOU ARE NOT PERFORMING.

Time: Arrive at least by 5:00 pm. Show begins EXACTLY at 6:00 pm. Have your hair and makeup ready to dance your first dance. If you are in the first 5 numbers, your escort will be picking you up at your dressing room at 5:45, so please be ready to dance before this time.
You will only need to bring water , sprites and maybe a light snack. The show will go by fast and there will be no time for long breaks.
Attached is a check list and the schedule of dances. Please try to keep up with this information.
Recital is always so exciting! Please cherish this time with your children. You are making moments that they will remember forever.
