Thank you

“BELIEVE” was the University of Tennessee Dance Team’s inspiration in 2007 when we won our first collegiate national championship. It is a memory that I will cherish forever. I believe in many things. I believe in God. I believe in my family. I believe in my friends. I believe in miracles. I do believe Legacy Dance Studio was a miracle and a blessing. I thank Mrs. Cathy Turner for believing in me and allowing me to live my dream. Words cannot explain the joy the students have brought into my life. I am so very thankful each and every day for having this opportunity . Mrs. Cathy, you are a very selfless lady and your love for these students inspires me so much. The students still talk about you all the time and will never forget the woman who introduced them to their passion for dance. I hope to continue filling their lives with the love of dance and continue your Legacy.

To all of my dancers, I couldn’t have drawn up a more perfect experience as a first year studio owner and teacher. Whether you are new to dance or were a former CDS student, I am forever grateful for you believing in me and allowing me to live out my dream. From the babies, that make me smile every week they walk into the room, to my senior dancers that I hate so much to lose after tonight, I have met the most wonderful people that I now consider family. I couldn’t be more thankful for the students and parents that have stuck by me as I learn the ropes of starting a business and sharing my passion and knowledge of dance. I’m so proud to call you all the first class of Legacy Dancers and I hope this year has been as wonderful for you as it has for me. Good luck this weekend! I know you will all be amazing and I cannot wait to reveal what we’ve worked so hard for all year!

To all Legacy Student Parents and Grandparents, Thank you so much for allowing your children to dance at Legacy Dance Studio. I appreciate your support in making this a very successful first year. Thanks to many of you for the endless hours in the “sweat shop” working on costumes, cutting our music and always being there if needed for anything. Your encouragement has been such an inspiration to me. I know that I am truly blessed to know such giving and supportive parents and grandparents.

Stacey, Thank you so much for continuing to teach at the studio this year and sharing your passion for tap with the kids. It’s been so helpful having a former CDS teacher around to guide me and give advice. Thank you for being here tonight and sharing these memories at our first recital.

Lindsey, I am so thankful for you coming along and helping me through a tough crunch in the year. You have never missed a day and are incredibly reliable. You are such a wonderful teacher and I know the students have learned a lot from you. I wish you could be here tonight to watch your dances on stage!

To my Helpers, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! These girls help me create and remember formations, video our progress each week, help control behavior, help me remember all of the dances, assist me at competitions and recital and so much more. Girls, thanks a million. I could not get through it without all of your help!

Amy, Thank you so much for keeping me organized through this crazy part of the year. From dealing with payments and costume orders to broken water fountains and cleaning up trash, you have helped me tremendously. I cannot thank you enough!

Mom, I cannot even begin to thank you enough for everything you have done for me and this studio. I’m not sure how you manage all you do, but you are an amazing woman and I thank God for you every day. We may not agree on everything, but without you, my job is impossible and I hope you know how thankful I am for you.

Dad, You are one of the hardest working people I know. You have given me the drive to go after my dreams and work so hard to make it happen. I know you thought you were done with dance recitals/competitions about 6 years ago, so the fact that you are here says a lot! Thank you for always supporting me…you are a good daddy!

Andy, We’ve had a crazy first year of marriage. We’ve lived in three different states and spent much time apart. I guess that’s the way it is when we are both following our dreams. I am so thankful for you supporting me through everything and I know all of the kids can’t wait to have you back as the studio janitor. I love you very much and wish you could be here for the Premiere!

Congratulations to all Legacy graduating Seniors. We wish the very best for your future.

Special thanks to our producer Mr. Brandon Thomas with Gary Musick Productions , Jodi Yates with Yates Photgraphy , Josh Yates with Provisual Productions, Mr. Don Koch, Ashlyne Huff and the staff of Tennessee Performing Arts Center for creating a wonderful Premiere for Legacy Dance.

With Love to You All Always,
